Welcome to the Team!

This is your guide to getting started as a Referee with Referee365.

Let's get you on the courts!

Onboarding via Referee365

Your journey begins with your onboarding email from [email protected]365.com. You'll receive an email to guide you through the process. Please complete the tasks listed in the email to get set up for game assignments. Don't worry about deadlines; just complete them as soon as you can.

  • Complete direct deposit form.

  • Complete IRS Form W-9.

  • Exchange cell phone contact information.

  • Join the Ref365 Baseball Umpire GroupMe channel.

  • Download the Rainout Line app and add LSBA.

  • Complete in-person training (1-2 hours).

  • Provide Ref365 Parent Program info (Optional).

Uniforms & Gear

Having the right gear is essential. Here's what you'll need. You can find these items at online stores like Honig's, Ump Attire, or even find used gear on eBay.

  • Choose a shirt designed for referees (venting, whistle loop, tucked-in length)

  • Pants or shorts should follow your local league rules (many use black)

  • Black athletic shoes (good grip)

  • Make sure the shirt is tucked in, socks pulled up — small details count.

How Games Are Scheduled

Once onboarding is complete, you'll be invited to our Arbiter group, the platform for all game scheduling. You'll receive detailed instructions via email.

You Control Your Schedule

Umpire when you want. There's no requirement to work specific days. Simply block off dates in Arbiter when you're unavailable.

Receiving Games

Games can be self-assigned through Arbiter, or we may assign them directly for you to accept or decline.
